Ruxmon Is Coming To Sydney

Next Friday will see Sydney hold its very first Ruxmon meetup and by the look of the presentations its not going to be one to be missed.

Presentations

Proprietary Protocols RCE : Research leads – Jonathan Brossard

This presentation will discuss the following techniques for protocol analysis: Automated TCP replay (as in “proper valid tcp session replay”, not like the tool tcpreplay) with wireplay (an open source tool I designed when I was working in India and that my ex collegue and friend Abshisek data implemented). Using Microsoft detours to hook arbitrary network function (ultimate fuzzing !). TCP frames diffing and automated reversing using proper parsers (such as Lex).

Backdooring like its 1999 : Fionnbharr Davies

This talk will cover the basics of process infection in Linux and how to write a generic backdoor for any network daemon including difficult processes like sshd.

The meeting is going to be hosted at the Google Sydney office in Pyrmont and registration is REQUIRED. Please email syd-ruxmon-register@ruxcon.org.au with your name to register for the Sydney Ruxmon meeting.
